Ranjith Vijayan, 39-year old software engineer is from Singapore (originally from Thrissur, Kerala), loves to run, and loves to solve the Rubik’s cube. And he is coming all the way to Mumbai to run the Tata Mumbai Marathon on Jan 21st and set up a world record for solving the Rubik’s cube for the most times while running.
The existing record is currently held by a runner from New Zealand, who solved the cube 254 times while running a marathon. Ranjith is planning to smash that with a goal of solving the cube 400 times as he aims to finish the marathon in about 4 hours 45 minutes. That’s solving a cube in less than a minutes all the while running the marathon, more like 42 seconds! Couple of years Damn!
Two years back, Ranjith had then set an unofficial world record at the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore by solving the cube 200 times while finishing in 4 hours 55 minutes.
